Qimarox machines can be found all over the world. Our colleague Erwin Koning went to America to install Prorunner mk5 vertical conveyors. He travelled to Florida and California for this. Read here what Erwin did and saw!
My name is Erwin Koning, I’m 43 years old, married and proud father of four boys. I’m a Field Service Engineer at Qimarox. It’s a great job where you’re often on the road to install new product lifts, maintain and overhaul and modify or optimise existing lifts. For this type of work, you really must be stress resistant, inventive/creative and above all, flexible. Luckily, I don’t suffer from stress, am very inventive and very flexible.
Qimarox is a great company, where everyone deals with each other in a fun, informal way. We’re growing enormously now. We have many customers in Europe, but also far beyond. I just completed two projects in America. On both projects I placed three Prorunner mk5 lifts of different sizes. The largest is over 11 meters high! Thanks to the good cooperation with the integrator, these projects were completed with a good result.
In addition to the work, there is sometimes an opportunity to see something of the surroundings. For example, during my stay in Florida, I went to Jacksonville Beach. There I took a trip on an airboat through the Wetlands. A fantastic experience! As I had finished my project on the west coast of America a day earlier, a day trip to San Francisco was an obvious choice. I wanted to visit Alcatraz prison, but unfortunately tickets had long been sold out. Instead, I sailed around it, passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. Along the way I also saw some dolphins. All in all, a fantastic experience!
My next project is for a client in France. I’m really looking forward to this project!
