The Highrunner HR10 is a palletizer designed for the beverage industry and has handling capacities of 900 – 1,500 products per hour. Reinforced layer handling to handle layers weights up to 280 kg. Motorized layer restraints ensure perfect layer positioning.
Highrunner HR10: Palletizer for Beverage industry
Within the beverage industry there are several challenges to address if you are looking to automate the palletizing process.
The Qimarox HR10 Palletizer for Beverage industry is designed to deal with the main topic within this industry; which is the overall throughput of a production line. This required throughput exceeds the need from many other industries. By using the advantages of a high-level infeed machine based on the Highrunner HR7 the Qimarox HR10 palletizer can realize a high throughput in combination with high flexibility. Next to that the layer weight can be much higher compared to other industries. The layer handling system of this palletizer can handle layer weights up to 280kg.
Change over time of empty pallets and loaded pallets is minimized by having a buffer position for an empty pallet directly in front of the loading position. As soon as a loaded pallet is transported out of the system an empty pallet is transported into position. While moving up the empty pallet is centered and aligned to receive the first layer. The unique layer formation ensures that a layer is produced at high rate. By adding a buffer position for a complete layer the layer formation will not come to a stop at change of pallets.
Limited floor space
Many factories focus on production first and end-of-line automation is often only considered after all is installed and production is running smoothly. Palletizing is often done manually and as soon as end-of-line automation is starting there is only limited floor space available. By using a high-level-infeed palletizer the only floorspace used is the actual loading position. The layer formation is placed on a mezzanine floor and will not block the packaging line.
Fragility of products
Within the beverage industry the product being handled can be very fragile (e.g. glass). With the unique layer formation of Qimarox each product is handled with very smooth pushing movements and with this there is no risk on damage to the product. Every movement is powered with an electrical gear motor equipped with an frequency inverter and encoder. With this feature all speeds, acceleration, deceleration, etc. can be stored within the recipe data.
Maintenance and downtime
Every module used within the Highrunner HR10 palletizer is designed in a way to minimize maintenance requirements. Most mechanics can keep the machine up-and-runner as basic design is with standard mechanical parts and can be replaced very quickly if needed. Downtime is very low as the layer formation principle is very accurate and there is practically no risk of disruptions. In a situation the machine comes to a stop the operator can restore it's operation very quickly. The HMI (Operator panel) will show the fault and also which action to take to restore production.
